Who we are

The Elysian Singers of London, under musical director Sam Laughton, is one of the UK’s leading chamber choirs. Known for our adventurous programming and imaginative repertoire, we give concerts in and around London, and have recorded a number of enthusiastically received CDs. We pride ourselves on reaching consistently high performance standards, and our entry requirements are rigorous, but we maintain a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and embrace singers from all backgrounds. This website is our main source of new members.

We often perform in church settings in London, but have also sung in a range of venues across the UK, the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Purcell Room, Westminster Abbey, York Minster and Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin. From time to time we tour internationally. Past destinations include Germany, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Malta, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Gran Canaria. The choir’s recordings have been featured many times on Radio 3 and the group has experience performing live on radio and television.
