Music making is a labour of love - particularly in London, where concerts are expensive to stage. Our members are asked to make donations to the choir whenever they sing, and we have to find other ways of raising revenue to make the books balance.Over the years, we have done all we can to stage inspirational programmes of music on shoe-string budgets. With better financial support, we could do so much more to enhance our audiences' experiences. Specifically, we would like to be able to:
Sing more often with orchestras
Hire more high-quality soloists
Underwrite the up-front expenses of commercial recordings
Commission more new music
All financial assistance helps enrich the choir's contribution to the Arts, and is valuable to us. Any donation, however modest, will be gratefully received, so do please contact us if you are able to make a contribution.
The choir is a registered charity, and we can claim back tax on any donation you make if you are a UK taxpayer.
The cost of becoming a Friend of the choir is £25 per annum (£40 for couples), which entitles you to the following benefits:
A 10% discount on concert tickets
Discounted CDs
Two free concert tickets for every new Friend introduced
All Friends receive a Friendship card, which can be shown at concerts to secure these discounts.
Anybody who feels able to give more than this will become a Benefactor of the choir. They will be acknowledged in every concert programme (unless they prefer to remain anonymous) and, in addition to the benefits above, will receive invitations to special promotions where and when possible.
Should you wish to become a Friend or Benefactor, could you please complete the necessary Gift Aid form and post it, together with your cheque to the address above.
Should you be interested in becoming a Sponsor, there are various options available to you. Rather than making a contribution to the choir's general purposes, you may (subject to the sum involved) be able to designate a specific use for your funds. Direct sponsorship of recordings, commissions, or particular concerts all carry different benefits. Please contact us if you are interested.
